Everything about The Lake George Stakes totally explained

The Lake George Stakes is an American race for thoroughbred race horses open to three-year-old fillies and run at a distance of one and one-sixteenth miles on the turf at Saratoga Race Course. It is a Grade II race with a purse of $100,000 added. The Lake George (named for the large lake north of Saratoga Springs, New York), was run in two divisions twice: once in 1996, and for the second time in 1998.
   The Lake George will be in its 13th running in 2008.
   On November 28th, 2007, this Grade III stakes race was upgraded to a Grade II by the American Graded Stakes Committee.
